Terms & Conditions

These are the standard terms on which Hausline (a trading name operated as a sole trader based in Derby, East Midlands, UK) provides removals, packing and storage services. A signed job sheet or accepted written quote forms the contract between us.

Quotes

Quotes are based on the information you provide. If circumstances change materially on the day, we may need to adjust — we'll always discuss before extra charges apply.

Payment

Payment is due on completion of the move unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept card, bank transfer and cash.

Insurance & liability

We carry Goods in Transit and Public Liability insurance on every move. A copy of the current policy schedule is available on request before you book. Certain items (jewellery, cash, documents) should be transported by you personally.

Cancellation & cooling-off

Bookings placed online, by phone or by email are distance contracts under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. You have 14 days from the day you book to cancel for any reason and receive a full refund — unless you have expressly asked us to begin the service (for example, a same-week move) inside that period, in which case we may charge for work already carried out.

Outside the 14-day cooling-off period you may cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before your booked date. Later cancellations may incur a fee of up to 20% of the quoted price to cover crew and vehicle allocation.
